Payanam is not based on Kandahar episode: Radha Mohan

Popular director Radha Mohan has denied rumours that his upcoming bilingual with Tollywood star Nagarjuna was inspired from the Kandahar flight hijack incident.

“Nagarjuna is playing a police officer while Prakashraj appears as a government official. A new face would be�the heroine. Though the film is a thriller, it is not a take-off of the Kandahar episode,” the director clarified.

Produced by Dil Raju (Telugu version) and Prakashraj (Tamil version), the film will be an action entertainer titled�Payanam in Tamil and Wanted in Telugu. The movie is planned for release in April 2010. Reportedly the crew will start their next shooting schedule in Hyderabad from March 15.
