Pandian: Actresses must attend all promo events

It should be made mandatory for the actresses to participate in the audio launch function, opined well-known producer Sivasakthi Pandian. As Secretary of Producers' Council, Pandian gave vent to his feelings at the audio launch of Azhagana Ponnudhan, where Namitha, the leading lady of the movie was conspicuous by her absence.

Pandian requested the Film Producers' Council president Rama Narayanan to take action against actresses who do not adhere to this norm. "It is their moral obligation to promote the film when so much money is invested on them by the producers. When the actresses make so many demands during the shoot, they also are morally bound to attend all promotional events for the movie," lamented Pandian, expressing his displeasure.

Khushbu, who received the first audio from Rama Narayanan, endorsed Pandian's view. She said, "Now as a producer I understand the travails better. Producers ought to take the issue with the South Indian Film Artistes Association and find out a solution fast."
