Padmapriya: Thrilled by State Award

Padmapriya said she did not expect the best actress award but when it came for her performance in Mirugam, she was naturally thrilled. To be honoured by the State Government and the prospect of receiving it from the Chief Minister Kalaignar Karunanidhi is a feeling still to sink in, she says.

For the Management degree holder and proficient classical dancer, acting is a passion. “I do movies for the love of it. At the end of the day, what is etched in the mind are the various characters one portrays. Honestly, I am still living with the Nadeera character though Pokkisham is already released,” says this honest actress.

Among the best�interesting characters she has played�is the�tribal girl she plays�in the forthcoming Pazhassi Raja. There is also Striker, the Hindi film where she plays an urban girl.
