Padma Shri Kamal Haasan's name not in voters’ list!
Kamal Haasan is an icon and the living legend will not be able to exercise his franchise! According to sources, he will not be able to vote this year at the Corporation School near Nageshwara Rao Park in Mylapore, Chennai as his name is not in the voters’ list!
Kamal has been busy shooting in Hyderabad for Unnai Pol Oruvan and planned to cast his vote this year. When queried, Kamal said that he feeling very frustrated and let down, as though he pays his taxes from his Eldam's Road address, he is being denied his right to vote! It is quite strange as the actor has regularly voted earlier, but mysteriously, his name has disappeared from the voters’ list this time!
Election commission officials were at a loss for unable to give any sensible explanation and said that Kamal's name does not figure in the list, as the address which has been given has been rented out. So, when officials had come for address verification, Kamal was not present and hence had to be declared as a non-resident of Chennai city!
