Padikkathavan Audio Launch

Padikkathavan’s success was decided even while its audio was being launched at Sun Music studio on January 8th. The upbeat mood of the crew, their confidence and neat explanation of what a viewer can expect from the film have not only put this movie on everyone’s must-watch-movie list for Pongal, but have already made it their favourite movie of the season.

Sun Pictures holds all the audio launches of its films in Sun Music Studio since Dindigul Sarathy, and the hype generated at the audio launch helps determine a film’s success even before its release.

Eminent guests at the audio launch of Padikkathavanwere producer-actor Prakashraj, director-actor Cheran and actor Saravanan;hero Dhanush and his wife Aishwarya, heroine Tamannaah, Vivek; directors Shakthi Chidambaram, Suraaj, Ameer, Subramaniam Siva; Sun Pictures COO Mr. Saxena and lyricist Snegan.

Think Music owns the audio rights, and CDs and cassettes of Padikkathavan (also spelt as Padikadhavan) are available since its audio launch.

Everyone present at the function lauded the efforts of director Suraaj, Dhanush, Vivek and Tamannaah, and profusely appreciated the movie. But the biggest appreciation was perhaps from Sun Pictures COO Mr. Saxena, who said that just four reels of the film convinced him to take it under the aegis of Sun Pictures!Appreciating and thanking every unit member and Think Music,he expressed confidence that Padikkathavan will break the records set by previous Sun Pictures presentations – Kadhalil Vizhunden, Dindigul Sarathy and Thenavettu.

The audio launch was a mirthful event with actor Vivek enthralling everyone with his wisecracks; even the Sun Music compere found it hard to keep pace with this intelligent comedian. Claiming to be Tamannaah’s translator, most of the time hegave wrong translations of her words purposely, thus adding mirth to the evening's already joyful proceedings. He even recalled some of his hillarious punch dialoguesfromthe film like "Gun ellam enakku bun sappidira mathiri. Vayila arachi, decenta dysentry-la dispose panniduven"!

The audio was launched and two songs from the film were screened to theassembled audience. Apparently, the song ‘Rangi Rangamma’ has already become everyone’s favourite as it had to be replayed on public demand!

There is no doubt Padikkathavan will be another important film in Dhanush’s career, just like Yaradi Nee Mohini, and will elevate Tamannaah and Vivek’s status to a new high.
