Pa. Vijay launches music awards!

Big 92.7 FM is organising a grand event to announce radio music awards. The event is the first of its kind in the history of broadcasting. Titled 'Mooduketha Mixu', the station will select five songs from each of its top playlists and programme schedules such as Kalakkal Kaalai, Timepass Neram, Jill Jill Neram, Recharge Chennai and exclusive Love You da lot with romantic numbers composed by Ilayaraja and Rahman. This list would be played in the station and based on top choices, it will further be fine-tuned to play and select the set of short-listed songs. The music awards will be awarded to the listeners' top favourites. Awards will be given to the music director, singers and the actors who performed for the song on the screen. Pa. Vijay, eminent lyricist and National award-winner inagurated the launch of the awards event.

Listeners can cast their votes either in the ballet boxes kept in the BIG FM buses operated in specific areas in the city every day or through SMS. The voting process and voting lines will be open from April 22nd and the final winners will be announced on May 1st. Popular BIG RJs Imsai Arasi, Bosskey, Dheena and Sumitha will present a live commentary on the event.
