Thalapathy 62, expected to hit screens this Diwali will be the second consecutive time A. R. Rahman will be composing music for a Vijay film after last year’s blockbuster, Mersal.

He had also previously handled the musical duties for Azhagiya Tamil Magan in 2007 and Udhaya in 2004.

The news was confirmed by the producers of the film, Sun Pictures, a short while back today.

The film will also have Yogi Babu once again in a supporting role after Mersal along with Sreekar Prasad for editing, Girish Gangadharan for cinematography and Santhanam for the art direction.
