8 Thottakal is an intense crime-thriller directed by debutant Sri Ganesh and produced by Vetrivel Saravana Cinemas. Starring Vetri and Aparna Balamurali of Maheshinte Prathiharam fame, this film also has Nasser, MS Bhaskar, T Siva, Mime Gopi and Meera Mithun in lead roles. Nasser says, “During the narration of the script, I was not very confident but still accepted the film for his idea. But after the first-day shoot, I was totally carried away by his professionalism. One day MS Baskar has called me to watch a particular scene of him that he has portrayed in 8 Thottakkal, and I watched it. I am very sure that MS Bhaskar will bag the National Award for that one particular scene.”
