Nadiya's Malayalam re-entry!

Yesteryear leading Malayalam-Tamil actress Nadiya Moidu is back to Malayalam films after a gap of 15 years! Sources say the actress has agreed to act in a Malayalam film titled Double, in which she will portray the role of megastar Mammootty's twin sister. (One cannot recall when a film last showed dissimilar twins, leave alone brother and sister.)

Nadiya, who debuted with the Mohanlal-Padmini starrer Nokketha Doorathu Kannum Nattu (1984), was last seen in Malayalam as Ammukutty in Vadhu Doctoranu (1994), starring Jayaram and Sreenivasan. The actress is currently active in Kollywood in supporting roles. (Nadiya made a comeback to Tamil with blockbuster M. Kumaran s/o Mahalakshmi, which was acclaimed for her wonderful performance as Jeyam Ravi's mother.)

To be directed by debutante Sohan Sinulal, an associate of Shafi and Siddique, Double is produced by Narayanadas under the banner of Creative Team. Hit makers Sachi and Sethu handle the scripts. Also in the cast are Salimkumar, Suraj Venjaaramoodu and Bijukuttan. More details are awaited.
