Murattu Kalai to be remade

After the success of Billa’s remake, yet another film of superstar Rajinikanth is all set for a remake. It is heard that Murattu Kalai – released in 1980 and still popular for its song ‘Podhuvaga En Manasu Thangam’ – will be remade with Sundar C. in the lead.

Not long back, Sundar C. had announced that he is very eager to act in the remake of this wonderful film and is even ready to lower his salary if someone is willing to cast him in the lead role. His words did not go unheard. Gunanidhi of Kalaignar TV is said to have acquired the remake rights of this film from A.V.M and has apparently�invited Sundar C. to do the lead role in this remake. It could be said that this remake will certainly give a boost to Sundar C’s career graph which is already witnessing an uptrend.

Sundar C. has also evinced his interest to remake M.G.R starrer Ulagam Suttrum Vaaliban, for which he has been holding talks regularly with those who own the film rights. He has even allocated a budget of Rs. 15 crores for this project. So far, the talks have been moving in a positive direction and it looks like a positive result will be attained very soon. There is also a buzz that the “victory run” of Vivek-Sundar C.�will continue in both these remakes.
