Money is secondary: Karthika

According to Karthika (who debuted in Thoothukkudi and rose to fame overnight with the song ‘Ulaga Azhagi Naan Thaan’), money is only secondary; it is nothing when compared to the fame of�being one of the top-class actresses of Kollywood. But she says that Kollywood seldom gives a heroine an opportunity to act. “We don’t act. We just have to look good. There is nothing beyond this,” she complained.

She added that she would love to try out different types of challenging roles. She also�said that�it is not money she is after, as it cannot quench her artistic yearning. Karthika is acting in Madurai Sambavam and Dairiyam at present. She is looking forward to the day she will bag her dream role.
