Miss India (South) forays into Kollywood

Beauty pageant winners making a beeline to Kollywood is an accepted phenomenon. Ragini Dwivedi, winner of Miss India South this year, is foraying into Kollywood in Ariyaan. Adhithya is the hero in this romantic thriller directed by Karthikeyan.

Ragini made her debut in the Kannada film Veera Madakari with Sudeep. Ragini was the first runner-up in the Miss India contest when she entered movies, after which she was announced Miss India South.

At the recent audio launch of Ariyaan, producer Prabadeesh said that this romantic movie is about the life of an ad film maker and his romantic interludes with a college student. Music is by debutant Vikram Varman, who had his training at the Australian School of Music.
