'Mile Sur' reinvented

Remember the famous 'Mile Sur', the song that featured the national integrity of India? The song was conceptualized and conceived by late Suresh Mallick and it was first aired on Doordarshan on Aug 15, 1988. After 22 years, Arti and Kailash Surendranath have reinvented it as 'Phir mile sur'.

New tunes with new sets of singers and artists, Phir Mile Sur was released on the eve of India's 60th Republic Day. The song features 60 known personalities who have excelled in various fields, including film personalities and sports stars. What more? The video starts with none other than Oscar-winner A.R. Rahman rendering the famous tune of Mile Sur.

Stars including Vikram, Suriya, Mahesh Babu, Mammootty, Shahrukh Khan, Salman Khan, Aamir Khan, Amitabh Bachchan, Abhishek Bachchan, Aishwarya Rai, Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy, Deepika Padukone, Priyanka Chopra, Shankar Mahadevan, Juhi Chawla, Shaan, Shahid Kapoor, Vijendra Kumar, Susil Kumar, Avinab Bindra and many more have been included. Sand artist Sudarsan Pattnaik from Orissa too has found a place in this iconic song.
