M.G. Sreekumar debuts in Tamil

National Award winning singer M.G. Sreekumar is not new to Tamil cinema. He has sung A.R. Rahman's 'Chinna Chinna Mazhai Thuligal' in 1999 for Arvind Swamy starrer En Swasa Katre, directed by K.S. Ravi. Now this Malayalam playback singer, who is also the music director for many Malayalam movies like Achanayaanenikkishtam and Thandavam, is debuting in Tamil cinema as a music director with three films.

The first film to be released will be Kanchipuram - an offbeat film starring Prakashraj, directed by Priyadarshan. The second film will be Poi Solla Porom, produced by UTV and directed by Vijay. Sreekumar will also set music for another Tamil film produced by the Malayalam banner Seven Arts.

The album of Poi Solla Porom was released recently at Green Park Hotel in Chennai. It is learned that all the songs in M.G. Sreekumar's Poi Solla Porom are hummable. The album has six songs written by Na. Muthukumar. It is also reported that the music director has created good songs for others films too.
