Mamta Mohandas sings for Nayantara in Villu

This is one matter that everyone in Kollywood is discussing widely – Mamta Mohandas sang for Nayantara recently in the Vijay starrer Villu! After all, heroines who can sing are a rare breed, and the case of heroines singing for other heroines is an extreme rarity!

Mesmerized by her beautiful voice. Prabhu Deva readily agreed when Devi Sri Prasad suggested that they make her sing in Villu; the duo agreed that her sexy voice suits Nayantara perfectly.

This is not the first time that Devi Sri Prasad is making her sing in a film. He is the one who discovered her ability to sing beautifully and made her sing in the Telugu films Rakhee (Junior NTR, Ileana and Charmi) and Shankar Dada Zindabad (Chiranjeevi); both the songs became instant super hits. In fact, Mamta debuted in Telugu films as a playback singer and then became quite a hot actress after Yamadonga. And this is not the first time that Mamta is singing for a Tamil film either. We have already heard her beautiful voice in Kaalai (Simbu and Vedhika).

With her versatile personality, this tall and beautiful actress will surely go places in the years to come!

Trivia: Bhanumathi, an actress from the black-and-white era was also a playback singer, music director, writer, editor, director, producer, and a studio owner!
