Mahesh Babu in 3 Idiots remake?
Ever since Gemini Film Circuit bought the Telugu and Tamil remake rights of 3 Idiots from Vidhu Vinod Chopra, there is widespread anticipation about the lead roles.
The latest buzz is that Kollywood's prominent director Shankar will direct both the Tamil and Telugu versions after completing his big budget extravagance Endhiran with superstar Rajinikanth. Sources add that the director will make some changes in the script to suit the tastes of South Indian audiences. We hear that the director is planning to cast Vijay, Jiiva and Siddharth in the lead roles (with Vijay in the role of Aamir Khan) in the Tamil version.
According to television channels in Andhra Pradesh, Tollywood superstar Mahesh Babu will play the lead role in the Telugu version. There are also reports that director Shankar has confirmed he is doing the remakes in an interview to a Telugu news channel.
