Maddy: In or out of 3 Idiots remake?

A spokesperson of Gemini Film Circuit (GFC), which bagged the Tamil-Telugu remake rights of the biggest Hindi blockbuster 3 Idiots, confirmed that this project will take place after numero uno director Shankar releases his magnum opus Endhiran starring Rajinikanth.

Recently Shankar’s publicist tweeted that Vijay, Simbu and Madhavan, along with Sathyaraj (in the role made memorable by Boman Irani), will feature in the Tamil version, while the only change in the Telugu version will be Mahesh Babu replacing Vijay.

But now, Madhavan has tweeted, “So sorry folks! I’m unable to do 3 Idiots in Tamil and Telugu. Have other plans. I am sure they will find worthier replacements.”
