Maanja Velu: Arun Vijay’s next

While preparing for the 100th day celebration for his latest movie Malai Malai, Arun Vijay has one more reason to smile – his next movie. Quaintly titled Maanja Velu, the movie promises to be another commercial entertainer like Malai Malai, and that’s not the only thing common between the two flicks. Maanja Velu not only shares the same hero, but the same tech crew as well. “There are a few surprises for the audience in this film. They will see me in a never-before-seen avatar that’s sure to win their applause,” says Arun with such absolute confidence that one dearly hopes his wish comes true.

Other highlights of Maanja Velu include actor Karthik’s role as Arun’s brother. Since the movie is releasing before Mani Ratnam’s Raavan, we’ll be getting to watch the fabulous actor doing what he does best way earlier than we had hoped! Actor Prabhu is also playing a supporting role. Dhanishka, who debuted in Peranmai, plays Arun’s love interest. Another asset�are the stunts crafted by Kanal Kannan. Maanja Velu is scheduled to release on�29th�January 2010.
