M3V Metro Movie

M3V, short for Mudhal Mudhal Mudhal Varai (which means from the beginning to the beginning), is touted to be the first metro movie of Chennai. And the title itself promises a quirky storyline full of youthful energy and a happy ending (or rather beginning).

Metro movies (or multiplex movies as they are popularly known as) are films made exclusively for audiences of metro cities on subjects only they can relate to. Mostly, these films are made on low budgets with new faces, which make them more realistic and simple. These films either have offbeat or extremely simple storylines packaged in a manner that appeals to these multiplex audiences.

In line with this trend, M3V, is all set to win the hearts of Chennai. In fact, the trend of metro movies is quite old and has been in existence since the days of Nagesh Kukunoor’s Hyderabad Blues. But this is the first time a full-fledged metro movie is being made for audiences in Chennai. With changing times and audiences, with acceptance of films like Chennai 600028, metro movies will be the next form of entertainment in this city.

M3V will create a new record by introducing more than 100 new faces. The film is conceptualized by Gomatam, who has been an assistant to Mani Ratnam and P.C. Shriram. Gomatam, who directs this flick, has also written the screenplay and dialogues.

Aslan Mustafa scores the music for this youthful entertainer.
