Lekha hits innovation mode

Popular ad-film maker Lekha Rathnakumar struck it rich in association with the German company Sonoton, bringing in quality re-recording. The effort won him appreciation from the Kollywood fraternity, including the well-known actor-director K. Bhagyaraj.

Not resting on his laurels, Lekha has tied-up with an American company in his endeavour to give richness sound effect. If variety is the spice of life, that should hold good in films too, avers Lekha. In his view, the sound effects in movies have become stale, like playing the same music again and again. When one can have other options, why should producers have to compromise on quality, asks Lekha.

Be it a car sound or the rattling of gun, one can give it different dimensions and more importantly, get out of the conventional norm, is how Lekha looks at his innovation. If Kollywood movies are to be on par with Hollywood, the mindset has to change, says this affable man.
