K.S. Rama Rao’s way of solving unemployment

At the press meet to announce FNCC (Film Nagar Cultural Centre) New Year bash which coincides with the presentation of FNCC awards on December 31st, K.S. Rama Rao, the president of Film Chamber, requested allfrontline heroes to act in at least two films a year. Rama Rao said that though he is absolutely happy for small budget movies hogging the limelight in recent times, he is a bit disappointed with the decrease in the number of movies by "top-class" heroes, which has left many unemployed.

Tothe perplexed audience, hesaid that a big budget filmby a frontline hero creates job opportunities for many. Explaining further he said, “Take a song sequence in a frontline hero’s film. It could involve numerousjunior artists. Also, if it has a huge set, there are so many people involved in building it. All these people lose their jobs when there are no big-budget films.”

Rama Raoannounced that this year, the number of categories of FNCC awards has been increased to 12 (from last year’s 10). Speaking about the highlight of the function this year, Rama Rao said, “Famous singer Smitha and dancers from Brazil, Spain and Russia will elate your spirits.” He also announced that eminent director-producers D. Rama Naidu and M.S. Reddy will be felicitated at the award ceremony.

Instituted last year, FNCC award and its New Year celebrations have become hugely popular among the public. For this reason, the organizers have taken all efforts to increase its grandeur and the entertainment it can offer.
