Karunanidhi to honour Lawrence

Popular choreographer, actor and director Lawrence Raghavendra, also known for his philanthropic activities for youth with physical disabilities, will be presented an award for his social service by Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M. Karunanidhi at this year's Independence Day celebrations on August 15 at Fort St. George, Chennai.

Lawrence is running a charitable society called Larencce Charitable Trust, which was founded in 2005 in Chennai with a mission to provide free education and boarding to underprivileged children and physically challenged. He uses most of his film income for activities of the trust.
