Karunai: Meaningful film!

"Karunai is a commercial film with a strong storyline," says director Ilan, who makes his debut as writer, director and hero with this film. The story of Karunai revolves around a couple and their mentally-challenged young son. Ilan visited many special schools in the city to choose a child to cast in his film. Finally, Balaji has been chosen to play the pivotal role in Karunai. Ilan has also brought popular mimicry artist Senthil to the big screen through Karunai. Nearly 50% of the shooting has been completed. "Karunai is a positive film. It has lot of levity and fun," assures Ilan.
