Kannan to direct Jab We Met remake
Galatta.com had already reported that Moser Baer had plans to remake the Shahid Kapur- Kareena Kapoor super hit Jab We Met in Tamil. The universal appeal of the subject has prompted this remake. Though earlier it was heard the Dhanush and Trisha are the lead pair, finally Bharath and Tamannaah were confirmed as the lead pair.
The search for the director ended when Kannan was chosen for the job based on his outstanding work in his debut film Jayam Kondaan, starring Vinay and Bhavana, which was well received at the box-office and proved Kannan's ability to handle a young team.
The Jab We Met remake is expected to start shooting by the end of January 2009.
