Kanchana rubbishes reports of penury

Annoyed by a recent report in a Tamil magazine that she is living in a pathetic state of poverty, yesteryear South Indian actress Kanchana said this report was based on some ulterior motive. The magazine had reported that she was depending on the prasadam served at a temple for her food.

In a press release, Kanchana emphatically denied this report with deep anguish and clarified that when a reporter approached her for an interview, she refused, saying the time was not convenient for her. However, an alleged interview appeared and everything stated in it was based on the reporter’s imagination. Kanchana said that she lives in her own flat and her monetary condition is not as pitiable as has been misreported.
