The cult classic hit Dhrishyam is one of a kind movie that featured Mohanlal in a character like never before, a common man who does unconventional things to save his family.

The same was remade in Tamil as Paapanasam with Kamal Haasan by Jeethu Joseph, the original’s director. The film’s remake rights for China has been sold by Jeethu Joseph and the producer. The movie which was made on Rs. 5 crore budget originally in Malayalam made over Rs. 75 crores through theaters and remake rights in Indian languages.

Dhrishyam will soon be released in China as a completely new movie as a production house has purchased the rights from the makers.

Kamal Haasan’s choice of scripts are always unique in the lines of Hey Ram, Anbe Sivam and Uthama Villain. Paapanasam is a strong addition which has bagged another honor and will soon entertain Chinese movie lovers.
