Kamal releases Muthumeenal's autobiography

The English version of the bestselling Tamil autobiography of Muthumeenal was released by veteran actor Kamal Haasan on Friday. The book, titled Thorn, was received by Yohei Sasakawa, the Chairman of Nippon Foundation, Japan.

Thorn is also about a village girl growing up with the stigma of one of the most misunderstood diseases. The story has been rendered into English by Shuba with the simplicity of the original work. The translators Latha Ramakrishnan, Shubashree Desikan and designer Santhosh were also honoured at the function.
