Kamal Haasan launches Unnai Pol Oruvan
Versatile actor Kamal Haasan's production banner Rajkamal Film International has officially launched their much-hyped bilingual film Unnai Pol Oruvan (Ee Nadu in Telugu) on Friday in Chennai. A remake of the critically-acclaimed Hindi film A Wednesday, Ee Nadu is directed by debutant Chakri and produced in collaboration with UTV Motion Pictures.

At the launch, Kamal said he has already completed all scenes with Mohanlal, who now only has to dub. "I always wanted to do a film with Mohanlal, it was long overdue and finally I’m happy it is happening under Rajkamal banner. We will complete the film by May end," he said.
"It’s a great honour for me to be a part of a Kamal Haasan film. The kind of passion that Kamal sir has for film making is awesome. I really enjoyed working on the film," Mohanlal said. The entire team, consisting of Kamal Haasan, Mohanlal, Chakri, Shruthi Hassan and UTV’s Ram Mirchandani, were present on the dais.
In A Wednesday, Naseeruddin Shah was the lead protagonist and Kamal Haasan will play his role in both the versions. The Telugu version will have Venkatesh playing the role of Anupam Kher, while Mohanlal will be essaying the same role in the Tamil version. The film is being shot with RED cameras by Manoj Soni from Mumbai. Thotta Tharini is the art director.
