Kamal Haasan launches Sirippoli
Today, we have a multitude of TV channels throwing a huge clutter of TV programmes at us. But Kalaignar TV, one of the leading TV channels, stands out through its outstanding star-studded shows. Recently, Kalaignar TV network added one more feather to its cap – it launched Siripoli, a 24-hour TV channel which will air comedy tracks from various Tamil films. Social Media India Ltd (SMIL) has joined hands with Kalaignar TV network to launch this unique TV channel; SMIL is already the marketing and advertising partner for Kalaignar network’s music channel Isaiaruvi.
On February 22nd, eminent actor Kamal Haasan inaugurated Siripoli. The function was graced by several Kollywood personalities including Sakthi, Krish, R.B. Chowdary, Unni Menon, Y.G. Fans had a sweet surprise waiting for them. Kamal Haasan obliged his fans when they requested him to sing a song for them. A singing Kamal is not something new to Kollywood audiences, as he has crooned several songs, including the recent hit “Oh Oh Sanam” (Dasavathaaram). Though Kamal avoids singing on stage, this time he decided to thrill his fans with an extempore performance. And the star left the audience spellbound.
