Soon, Kollywood would run out of comedians and a new batch of comedians would need to be recruited! Yes! Every day, a comedian turnshero. Now, it is the turn of Kadhal Sukumar! In Samipulla, to be produced by Amirtha Anbarasu and directed by Rangarajan, Kadhal Sukumar is the hero. Karthika (of Thoothukudi fame) and Saranya Mohan are his heroines.K.V. Mani is the cinematographer. Music is by J.K. Selva.
With a striking similarity to Vadivelu and his brilliant performance in a famous comedy show on aTV channel, Sukumar soon gained popularity and an entry into tinsel town. After he excelled in the character role in his debut film Kadhal, Sukumar became quite popular with the public and went on to act in numerous films as a comedian and character artist. Making his style of comedy popular was a real achievement for Sukumar as he could have been easily sidelined as a look-alike of a popular comedian. In between his assignments as a comedian and character artist, Sukumar alsoenacted prominent roles in Yuga (Richard and Swarnamaliya) and other films.
