Junior Senior becomes Super
Malayalam superstar Mammootty's Tamil film Junior Senior (2002), written and directed by J. Suresh, will be dubbed into Malayalam as Super. Extensively shot in Malaysia, the film has former Miss Malaysia Leena Sidhu as the heroine. What is the story?
Santhosh (Mammootty), a middle-aged executive, and Shakti (Hamsavridhan), a hotel staff, are bachelors staying in an apartment in Malaysia. Both fall for the same girl Indira (Leena), each not knowing about the other’s interest. The girl herself maintains an easy camaraderie with both. But an unexpected twist happens when Indira states that she doesn't believe in love and chooses Santhosh as he is rich! What happens next is the rest of the story.
Originally, director J. Suresh planned to introduce Theja Sree as the debut heroine in this film, but changed his mind as Mammootty had recommended Leena, a Malaysian beauty. Yuvashankar Raja is the music director. Kailas has penned the lyrics and dialogues. Also in the cast are Charulatha, Charlie, Ramesh Khanna and Logan.
