Jothi: Hero-director of Ulalala

Yet another director foraying into acting is Jothi Krishna, elder brother of actor Ravi Krishna and son of well-known producer A.M. Ratnam.

Jothi did not�find much success as a director in Unakku 20 Enakku 18 and the subsequent Kedi. Staying away from movies for a while, Jothi said he is ready to start again.

Jothi had�a script ready when producer Kalaiselvam chose him to direct Ulalala. "I was getting ready for the job when Kalaiselvam sprang a surprise, asking me to don the hero's mantle.� I was not in favour of shouldering dual responsibilities, but eventually the director persuaded me to do so,” says Jothi.

About the plot, Jothi said the movie is about friendship between�two teenagers. Whether the friendship blossoms into love or they stay�just friends is the crux, said Jothi, happy to resume his innings in Kollywood.
