Jai getting ready for Aval Peyar Tamilarasi release

Aval Peyar Tamilarasi, the forthcoming film of Moser Baer starring Jai, Nandagi, Kanja Karuppu, Rama, Theodre Bhaskaran, Veera Santhanam and others, has been creating waves ever since its launch. Expectations have been raised after the premiere in Dubai Film Festival, where it got some good reviews. The film has music by Vijay Antony, editing by Raja Mohamed and camera work by P.G. Muthiah. It is written and directed by Meera Kathiravan.

Meera has been very clear that it is an intense love story within the commercial framework, without unnecessary masala elements. It recounts the story of a young man who goes in search of his childhood love. Meanwhile, actor Jai is all all geared up for the release of his much-awaited Aval Peyar Tamilarasi (APT).

Reportedly the actor have sported three looks in the film—those of a 17, 23 and 27 year-old. In a leading English daily, when asked Jai if the story reminds him of his childhood crushes, he blushed and revealed, “Director Meera Kathiravan asked me the same question. He wanted me to think about my childhood crush before I started shooting. To tell the truth, I was a very chamathu boy in school. I was not even aware of the number of girls studying in my class,”

According to sources, Meera Kathiravan approached the actor with the script right after the release of Venkat Prabhu’s Chennai 600028. However, the director had to wait for almost a year before he could actually start shooting the film.

When asked about the solo hero subject, Jai says, “I personally think that if the audience likes a star, they will come to the theatre no matter what the result of his last film was. My work in Goa was appreciated. In fact, I was on cloud nine when my godfather Ajith called me to appreciate my work. He said that I had come a long way and asked me to choose my projects with care.”
