Jaganmohini is back

Yes! In the series of remakes in Tamil, Vitalacharya’s Jaganmohini is the latest addition. The yesteryear hit film, which is based on a folk tale and gave Jayamalini to the film world, was laced with special effects and illusions that mesmerized moviegoers of those days. It was the first time they came across such a marvellous depiction of a folk tale. The effect was clear when it almost defeated a contemporary film of that time which starred NTR and ANR together. Incredible magic!

Now the same magic will come forth again when this remake hits the silver screens. That is what anyone would say if he or she takes a look at the invitation for the movie launch. Breathtaking photographs of the film neatly packed in a cover that looks and opens like the doors of an aesthetically designed palace. One knows not how far he or she can stretch their expectations on producer H. Murali, who can go to this extent for a movie launch invitation; it looks like he is another addition to those who raise the bar in the industry.

This remake is produced by H. Murali under the banner of Murali Cine Arts, music is by maestro Ilayaraja; the director is N.K. Viswanathan.

The film is to be deliberately launched on Friday 13th at 9:40 a.m. by Mr. M.K. Azhagiri. Producers’ Association President Ramanarayanan and other eminent members of the council members will be present at the function at Thirumalai Naicker Mahal in Madurai.

The film stars Namitha in Jayamalini's role and Vadivelu too, has a pivotal role. In a photograph, Namitha looks alluringly beautiful and also frightening, standing in an earthen stove which is ablaze!

She is coming for you and you cannot resist her!
