Kaaval Kaadhal vs. Manmadha Ambu for Diwali?

Ilayathalapathy Vijay's 51st film Kaaval Kaadhal, a remake of Malayalam hit Bodyguard starring Dileep and Nayantara, will reportedly compete with Kamal Haasan's much awaited Manmadhan Ambu at the box office this Diwali.

Manmadhan Ambu, directed by K.S. Ravikumar and produced by Udayanidhi Stalin, has completed 65% of the shooting in Venice recently. This romantic comedy features Kamal Haasan, Madhavan, Trisha, and Sangitha in the lead roles.

Kaaval Kaadhal, directed by Siddique (of Friends fame), who directed the original version, has a plot with plenty of comedy and action. It also brings back Asin to Kollywood after a gap. Shooting is almost complete and the dubbing will start soon.
