Illeana soft on Vikram?

Illeana is one of the top actresses in Telugu cinema, and Kollywood producers have been trying to lure her to Tamil cinema for a while now. She has turned down offers from Vijay and Ajith, they say, and now has refused to even star in (Thilalangadi) the Tamil remake of her hit Telugu flick Kick, one more remake in the Raja-Ravi duo kitty!

Thilalangadi stars Jayam Ravi and is being directed by his brother Jayam Raja. Word has it that Raja tried extremely hard to lure Illeana to reprise her role in the Tamil version, but the actress held her ground with a vehement NO! Some say she is staying clear off Kollywood because she underwent some really terrible experiences while making her Tamil debut KD alongside Tamannaah and Ravi Krishna! Others say her current rate in Tollywood is one crore per film, which few producers in Kollywood will consider.

But it is also being said that Illeana will soon act in a Tamil movie, and that she has almost consented! The movie in question? Vikram’s next, titled Irubathi Naalu [24], to be directed by Vikram Kumar of Yaavarum Nalam fame. We wonder which Vikram charmed her more?
