Happy Birthday to Son of Tamizh

The city is festooned for it is preparing to celebrate the birthday of a legend – our honourable Chief Minister Dr. Karunanidhi. He is 85 years old now.

He is not only a politician; he is also a literary giant. He has written innumerable books and has a deep connections with films. When he was active in films, he was a prolific screenplay writer and was known to write perfect screenplays with super speed.

Dr. Karunanidhi is an ardent lover of literature and cinema. Even while being extremely busy in running the state these days, he still manages to find some time to involve himself in literature and films. When film personalities request him to watch trailers of their movies, he obliges and gives them his feedback and encouragement. He is present at film-related parties or audio launches, if requested. The newsmaker these days, Uliyin Osai, is a film based on a story written by him in the 60s. He has also penned a few songs for this film. All this only shows that nothing can separate him from cinema.
