Happy birthday Dhanush!

Simple and unassuming, actor Dhanush is the toast of Kollywood. Today is his birthday and Galatta.com wishes him a very happy birthday!

With the boy-next-door looks, mannerisms and image, Dhanush has stolen many young hearts. With a slim figure, attractive eyes and cool demeanour, Dhanush entered films through Thulluvado Ilamai in his brother Selvaraghavan’s direction. The whole industry was unconvinced how this skinny youngster could find a place in audiences’ hearts. But as a young teenager fumbling with his relationships with women, Dhanush gave excellent portrayals in Thulluvadho Ilamai and Kadhal Konden. Both films went on to become big successes and set the stage for the new-age hero. Further, his role in Thiruda Thirudi directed by Subramaniam Siva brought him closer to the youth.

With Sullan, Dhanush entered the stereotypical larger-than-life hero arena. The film did not do too well at the box-office, but the endeavours continued till Pudhupettai. Then he changed directions and worked on a comedy-cum-romantic script for Thiruvilayadal Aarambham. With the film’s success under his belt, he appeared in Pollaadhavan directed by Vetrimaaran. The film was a big hit and it also set an inspiring trend for all newcomers looking forward to enter the film industry. Yaaradi Nee Mohini, a subtle love story directed by his brother Selvaraghavan’s protĂ©gĂ© Jawahar, worked well for the actor’s image.

Being Superstar Rajinikanth’s son-in-law is another facet that has made Dhanush adorable among the public. Dhanush is married to Rajinikanth’s daughter Aishwarya and the couple is blessed with two sons: Yatra and Linga. Undoubtedly, we can see the Superstar's influence in Dhanush’s humble manner and approach. Recently, Aishwarya Dhanush too stepped into the limelight by dubbing and singing along with her husband in Selvaraghavan’s Aayirathil Oruvan. Dhanush will soon be seen in Aadu Kalam, Maapilai, Uthamaputhiran and a psychological thriller with Selvaraghavan.

We wish the actor all the very best in his life and career. Happy birthday Dhanush!
