Giridhari Lal Nagpal elected president of FTPGSI
Giridhari Lal Nagpal was elected president of the Film and Television Producers' Guild of South India (FTPGSI) at its biennial poll held in Chennai on Sunday. The president is common to both film and television sectors.
Around 400 members, with over 300 from film division, casted their votes. J.B. Rugmangadhan was the past president of the guild. In the film sector, Baba Vikram and K.M. Balakrishnan were elected vice-presidents and A.M. Raja and P.L. Thenappan as honorary secretaries, a press release said.
In the television sector, Kalai Kottudhayam was elected vice-president and P.L. Palaniappan as honorary secretary. Ganshyam will serve as the treasurer for both film and television sectors. Sixteen committee members have also been elected.
