Gautham Menon dedicates National Award to VA team
Gautham Menon is already on Cloud Nine with Vinnaithaandi Varuvaaya all set for release soon. To add to his joy, his latest film Vaaranam Aayiram has been named the Best Tamil Regional film at the 56th National awards on Saturday.
An extremely happy Gautham Menon dedicated the award to the Vaaranam Aayiram (VA) unit. He was also quoted as saying, “I am particularly thankful to the film’s hero Suriya who crafted both his roles superbly. I am also thankful to Sameera Reddy, Divya Spandana, cinematographer Rathnavelu and music director Harris Jayaraj.”
National Awards are the country's most prestigious award in the field of cinema every year. Though many of his technicians have won numerous awards earlier, this is the first time the director has been awarded with this honour.
