Gautham not directing Ajith’s next: Galatta Exclusive

Just a few minutes ago, the Galatta.com team was informed that director Gautham Menon, who is all set to release his beautiful saga Vaaranam Aayiram, will no longer direct the Sivaji Pictures production starring Ajith. This new project was slated to start shooting between October and November 2008, but sources say that Gautham did not present a full script to the producers on time and thus he has been requested off the project.

Of course, we have already mentioned about Gautham running around to ensure the completion and sale of Vaaranam Aayiram for the last few months, so we don’t know if this perhaps hindered his script-writing process. Vaaranam Aayiram has now finally been bought by Cloud 9 Productions and its release is planned on November 14th.

What is our source and what is the reason or the actual story behind all this? This information has come to Galatta.com from the producers’ sources and we will publish the official comment from Gautham’s office as soon as possible.
