Fresh models at Chennai International Fashion Week
The auditions are over and the results are in! 200 [possibly more] luscious lasses strutted their stuff at the auditions held at Bangalore to pick fresh models to walk the ramp at the Chennai International Fashion Week [CIFW] to be held in December 2009. And only a handful were selected!
The auditions were open to all new and aspiring models in the country. This model hunt for Chennai International Fashion Week was spearheaded by an eminent panel of judges comprised of members from the fashion and film industry. The jury board included the distinguished personalities: Gaurav Sharma – Producer CIFW, Mehar Bhasin – Fashion Choreographer/ Grooming Expert, Pravin Talan – Celebrated International Photographer, Atul Kelkar – Consultant, Rahul Dev Shetty – Fashion Model/ Choreographer. And the jury had quite a tough time picking the best amongst this bunch of gals, all of whom looked super hot!
Rahul Dev Shetty revealed, “The model auditions has been a gold mine event! We’ve seen a lot of right attitude and confidence displayed on the ramp today. Great body language and style! It’s been really difficult to select many models from this talented crowd but we’ve finally shortlisted a few for the prestigious stage of CIFW.” And Mehra Bhasin, Fashion Choreographer & Grooming Expert, added,” It’s so nice to see all these new faces and enthusiasms in the participants. Quite a number turned out and many were very ravishing on the ramp. We’ve shortlisted the most promising of the lot, so expect to see some new glamorous faces on the ramp at CIFW!”
The Chennai International Fashion Week will take place at the Le Meridian Hotel in Chennai. 30 Indian fashion designers, 10 International guest designers, 35 fashion shows, 60 models from India and abroad, will be present at the first truly global fashion event in India being held at virgin location – Chennai. CIFW promises magic, sparkle, inspiration and creation. Indian and foreign designers will showcase the latest fashion trends that will dominate Spring/Summer 2010/11.
