Director Nandhini: Ready to thrill

Whoever said lady directors can only make soft love stories must now eat his words! Ask any�aspiring�woman directer what stories she has in hand, and there’s bound to be an action story in there! J.S. Nandhini, whose directorial debut Thiru Thiru Thuru Thuru [T4] met with�reasonably good response from audiences, insists her next movie will NOT be in the same genre as her debut film, which was essentially a comedy of errors, with a good dose of romance.

“My next movie will be an action thriller with a definite streak of humour. I’m yet to finalize a producer, but by the end of this month I hope that will be done. While getting producers to listen to my story has become easier given the success of T4, convincing them to do a thriller devoid of the usual commercial elements is quite hard! But I’m happy that these days at least I am being treated like a capable director, unlike before T4,” says a smiling Nandhini. We sure hope her directorial dreams come true this year too!
