Halitha Shameen is making her directorial debut with Poovarasam Peepee. Halitha had earlier assisted director Pushkar Gaythri, Mysskin and Samuthirakani for seven years, before donning the directors' hat herself. The actress assures that Poovarasam Peepee, would be the perfect summer treat for kids and also she has added several elements that she enjoyed in her childhood which is being missed by today's kids, in the movie.
The director also adds, that the cinema industry has not only changed in the genre of films, but has also learnt to welcome women directors, who have much talent to showcase. She adds, that she feels very secure in being here and also wants to prove her talent.
