Devayani, Meena spurn Vijaykanth's offer

Actor-turned-politician Vijaykanth is now adding one more feather to his hat. He is trying his hand at direction. Viruthagiri will mark his directorial debut. And while it has been decided to cast a new actress in the lead, word has it that Vijaykanth was keen on casting actresses Meena and Devayani in key supporting roles. However, claiming lack of dates, the two actresses politely declined the roles. Disappointed but not disheartened, Vijaykanth is busy hunting for other actresses who will suit the part and agree to shoot with him.
