A police complaint has been filed against actor Suriya for allegedly attacking a youth who was having an altercation with a woman. The complaint is filed by a first division football player named Premkumar. He has claimed that a woman, who was driving her car rashly, suddenly stopped in front of their motorbike--he lost his control resulting in slamming the rear end. The woman started fighting with them for rash driving and that is when actor Suriya, who was passing by, stopped and intervened. He allegedly slapped the youth, asking why he was fighting. The youth lodged a complaint at Shastri Nagar police station.
However, Suriya's camp has denied the assault and has stated that the boys were manhandling the women, which led to his intervention. He also clarified that he has informed the police regarding the incident immediately and left his assistant on the spot.
