Chikku Bukku: Music review

This is the second outing for Hariharan and Leslie Lewis in Tamil cinema as music directors. The songs are global in feel, a hint of every world culture. ‘Adi Saarale’ is a semi-classical soulful number by Suvi and Pradeep Vijay. The 'Bukku' title track is a foot-tapping number in the voices of Maya, Rahul Nambiar and Benny Dayal. Shankar Mahadevan, Chandrayee Battacharya and Uma Padmanabhan croon the rustic ‘Oru Nila’. ‘Smile’ sung by Suchith Suresan is a latino inspired ballad. Sufi meets ghazal in ‘Thooral Nindralum’ in the soul stirring voices of Hariharan and the Wadali Brothers. The romantic duets ‘Vizhi Oru Paadhi’ by Sujatha and Adnan Sami and ‘Zara Zara’ by Lavanya and Benny Dayal are sure to be chart-busters.
