The fifth season of the Celebrity Cricket League (CCL) is fast reaching it's climax and the semi-finals are happening at the Rajiv Gandhi Stadium at Hyderabad, now. In the first semi-final, two of the most strongest teams in the tournament history - both 2 time champions, Chennai Rhinos and Karnataka Bulldozers took to the field. The Kichcha Sudeep led Karnataka Bulldozers batted first and scored a nifty 155 with a quick fifty from Rahul. Jiiva led Chennai Rhinos started their reply with a sedate start and things were not looking too good for the team nearing the mid-way mark with them being 39/2. However, a fiery 91 from the ever dependable Vikranth and able support from Prithvi with a 39, took Chennai Rhinos to a romping win over the Karnataka Bulldozers and they booked a berth in the finals of the 5th edition of the CCL. Now, Chennai Rhinos will meet the winner of the second semi-final. Stay tuned for more updates on the CCL.
