Chennai Dost along with Alliance Francaise of Madras is all set to host Chennai Rainbow Film Festival 2013, a three-day extravaganza from June 7 to 9 (4pm to 9 pm). The event showcase Indian and International feature films, shorts and documentaries based on the theme 'Pride sans Prejudice'. Chennai Dost is one of the Largest community based group for Gay, Lesbian and Bisexuals.  More than 30 films of 2 mins – 2 hours duration will be screened at Alliance Francaise auditorium.

Besides, a photo and art exhibition will also be held on all three days and a panel discussion on 'Media portrayal of LGBT' will be held on the same venue. "It is not just the festival of gender and sexual diversity, but it also a festival of pride, love, anticipation, equality. We aim to create visibility and thus creates awareness among people," Venkat Raman, Director of Chennai Dost said in a press release. Awards for best LGBT shorts/documentaries, cultural performances and celebrity visits are the other highlights of the festival.
