Unnai Pol Oruvan, earlier titled Thalaivan Irukkiran, brings together two giants Mohanlal and Kamal Haasan in the acting realm. A remake of the Naseeruddin Shah starrer A Wednesday, Unnai Pol Oruvan is made simultaneously in Telugu and Tamil. The film is directed by Chakri. Following the magnum opus Dasaavathaaram, Unnai Pol Oruvan is the next offering from Kamal Haasan after more than an year.
